  • David Crowther's Colour Graphic Services enjoyed its best PacPrint ever thanks to its intense focus on colour management and two visiting Techkon executives, Albin Baranauskas and Corinne Pèregaud. Baranauskas also presented one of the workshops, on efficient use of spectrophotometers.

"We had a record number of visitors and inquiries to our stand, ranging from the very small one person operations to large multi nationals. There was high interest in all of our products, especially the Techkon range and our colour consulting and support services," says Crowther, adding: "Many commented that we were one of the busiest stands, despite our small area with the coral reef theme 'Colour Lives Here."

On his international guests, Crowther says: "Albin and Corinne were eagerly received with their kind and relaxed manner enabling Techkon instrument demonstrations and questions to be handled with consummate professionalism. It was their first visit to Australia and they said they enjoyed themselves immensely, settling in to our more relaxed style!"

Several printers were to be seen bringing their print-outs to the stand for measuring and analysis following the 'Free Colour Health Checks' promotion. The Colour Graphics Services stand also featured ISO colour control software from Mellow Colour, ICC profiling and analysis applications from ColorLogic and Four Pees, Eizo calibrated monitors, Printflow ink preset and closed loop colour solutions for offset presses, Just Normlicht viewing stations and of course Crowther's colour consulting knowledge that brings all of these together for offset, wide format, packaging and photographic markets.
